We are working on Smart Storage Units for SMT Factories:
    https://www.cluso.com.au/invman-carriers-shelves#!

    Our System Basically has:

    -A Server
    -Scanners
    -Storage Units

I just want to know if the following would be valid according to the standard:

We would abstract away the Scanners/Units from the rest of the OML world (instead of exposing them as Factory Resources), access would have to be through the Server (OML Producer) as (mostly) CustomEvent, CustomRequest and CustomResponse.

Also, is there any “Mandatory Message” List for an OML Producer (like there is for Factory Resources)? Or implementing General + Protocol Messages (and our own Custom Events/Requests/Responses) would be enough?
